Behind the Scenes at Africa Education Partnership
"He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children."  Psalm 78:5

It is hard to believe that it has been just over a year since our fund raising
banquet in support of Grace International School in Gusau, Nigeria. We were blessed to have our friend, Bishop John Danbinta, share his vision of a school in his diocese that would provide an education for all children, male and female, regardless of faith or background. In an area where Sharia law exists, this is a bold statement. But the people of the Gusau Diocese have embraced the idea and are excited about this new school.

The trip to Nigeria
In February of 2009, several board members made the trip to Gusau to see the land that was purchased for Grace International School. The Nigerian committee established to oversee the project was there to greet and discuss plans for the school compound of three classroom buildings and an additional building to house teachers.

The energy was contagious and we were inspired to raise money for this school, starting with the banquet held in October of 2009.

The total cost
The total cost of the complex is somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,000, a very small amount by American standards.

We  need your help now more than ever.
While the initial fund raising effort yielded an amazing $39,000, the monies have been almost depleted with the construction of the first classroom building.

It needs a roof! (Below)
Please consider making a donation to help complete the first classroom building.

We remain truly grateful for this opportunity and feel God's call in this work. We will continue to pray for Bishop John and his people.

We are also humbled by the scope of his vision and the perseverance and faith to see it through.

Especially during this time of celebration of our Savior, we pray for His presence in your lives.
May you and your families be blessed during this Christmas season!

  Peace,

Your AEP Board
